The Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act 2000 gave birth to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
Required:

- Offence of Accepting Gratification
Description: Any person who corruptly asks for, receives, or obtains any property or benefit of any kind for himself or for another person, or agrees to do so, is guilty of this offence.
Penalty: Imprisonment for seven (7) years. - Offence of Giving or Accepting Gratification Through an Agent
Description: Any person who accepts or gives gratification through an agent is committing this offence.
Penalty: Imprisonment for seven (7) years upon conviction. - Fraudulent Acquisition of Property
Description: Any person found guilty of acquiring property fraudulently is committing this offence.
Penalty: Imprisonment for seven (7) years. - Fraudulent Receipt of Property
Description: Any person who knowingly receives anything obtained by acts constituting a felony or misdemeanor, which if done in Nigeria would have constituted an offence, is guilty of this offence.
Penalty: Imprisonment for seven (7) years. - Bribery of a Public Officer
Description: Any person who offers a bribe to a public officer, or solicits, counsels, or accepts any gratification as an inducement or reward in the course of official duties, is guilty of this offence.
Penalty: Imprisonment for five (5) years with hard labour.
