Coordinate Jurisdiction:
Coordinate jurisdiction refers to the situation where courts of the same level or rank in the judicial hierarchy have equal authority to hear and decide cases. They do not have the power to overrule or review each other’s decisions, as they operate independently but within the same tier of the court system.

Courts on the Same Level of Hierarchy:

  1. High Court of a State and High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
  2. Court of Appeal Divisions across different regions.
  3.  Sharia Court of Appeal
  4. National Industrial Court
