Do I need to be a certified teacher or have qualifications?

With the exception of the professional tuition, you don’t need any formal qualifications to on Knowsia. If you can explain concepts clearly, help learners succeed, and deliver value, you’re welcome.

Can students teach on Knowsia?

Absolutely. Top-performing students and peer tutors are encouraged to teach. We also offer mentorship to help you get started.

Can I teach in Twi, French, or other local languages?

We encourage teaching in local languages to make education more accessible. You can create courses in English, Twi, French, Hausa, or any language your students prefer.

Are students allowed to teach on the platform?

Yes! Student tutors are a vital part of our community. If you’re currently studying and can help your peers understand concepts better, you’re welcome to create courses and earn income.

Who owns the content I upload?

You retain full ownership of your content. Knowsia simply provides the platform to host and distribute your courses. You can remove your content at any time.

Do I need to show my face on video?

Not necessarily! While face-to-camera videos often perform better, you can create effective courses using screen recordings, slides, audio narration, or written materials.

What support do you provide to new tutors?

We provide comprehensive support including free tutor bootcamps, one-on-one onboarding, a dedicated community, course creation guides, and ongoing technical support.

How much can I earn as a tutor?

Your earnings depend on how the student discovers and buys your course:

You always earn a majority share of the revenue.

What types of courses can I create?

At Knowsia, you can create courses on almost anything educational or skill-based. Some popular categories include:

Professional exam prep – ICAG, ACCA, CIMA, WASSCE, BECE, etc.
Academic support – University, high school, and even basic school subjects (math, science, English, etc.)
Workplace and career skills – Excel, CV writing, interview prep, communication
Business and creative skills – Entrepreneurship, marketing, design, accounting software
Local language content – Teach or learn in Twi, Ewe, French, Hausa, and other native or widely spoken languages

We welcome both academic and practical knowledge, so if you can teach it well, you can create it on Knowsia.

What kind of content can I upload?

You can upload:

Video lessons (camera, slides, screen recordings)
PDFs, slides, or notes
Quizzes, assignments, and practice questions
Infographics or animations

Can I update my course after it’s published?

Yes. You can edit or add to your course at any time.

How long does course review take?

Most reviews are completed within 2–3 business days. We’ll notify you if approved or provide revision suggestions.

Can I remove my course later?

Yes, you can choose to unpublish your course at any time, which means new students won’t be able to enroll.

However, if students are already enrolled, they’ll continue to have access to the course—even after you unpublish it—as part of our commitment to learner trust.

Courses with no enrollments can be deleted completely.

We encourage tutors to update or improve their courses instead of removing them. But if you still wish to take your course down, please give advance notice and contact our support team for guidance.
