Francis Agyen is a multidisciplinary finance and assurance professional with more than 12 years of experience across accounting and finance, taxation, auditing, banking operations, financial reporting and advisory services. His professional interests span IFRS and IPSAS financial reporting, public financial management, tax consulting, audit and ESG reporting.

He currently works with the Ghana Audit Service, where his experience covers public-sector auditing, financial accountability, compliance and value-for-money considerations. Before joining the Audit Service, he worked in the Finance and Strategy Department of Republic Bank Ghana PLC, gaining private-sector experience in banking, financial analysis and strategic decision support.

Francis is also an experienced lecturer and trainer, having supported students and working professionals for more than a decade in financial reporting, taxation, auditing, corporate reporting, public-sector accounting and finance — including engagements with the University of Cape Coast and professional tuition through Knowsia. He is the author of learning resources including IPSAS in Practice, developed to help students and public-sector professionals apply International Public Sector Accounting Standards.

In January 2026, he delivered training to more than 100 health accountants and heads of department in Ghana’s Eastern Region, covering public financial management, value for money, common audit infractions and compliance with public-procurement requirements.
