Contract of employment is the voluntary relationship between two parties for work and remuneration.

Answer
i. Grounds for dismissal:
- Gross misconduct such as willful disobedience of lawful orders or gross negligence.
- Absenteeism without permission or leave, which constitutes abandonment of duties.
ii. Duties of an employee:
- Obey lawful orders within the contract of employment.
- Exercise skill and diligence in carrying out assigned tasks.
- Render personal service and not delegate duties without consent.
- Keep confidential information secret and not act against the employer’s interests.
